Growing tip
Yarrow is heat and drought-tolerant, making it ideal for xeriscaping. Deadhead to encourage prolonged blooming, but avoid over-fertilizing as this can reduce its resilience.

Harvesting
Cut flowers when fully open. Yarrow is excellent for both fresh and dried arrangements and retains color when dried.

Yarrow has been used medicinally for centuries, often for wound healing, and is sometimes called “soldier’s woundwort.”

Named after the Greek hero Achilles, who is said to have used yarrow to treat his soldiers’ wounds in battle.
